Nalanda Dialogue series volume I
Prolegomena to intercultural dialogue
This volume is intended to set up a background of fruitful engagement of or Dialogue between two theoretical cultural traditions of East and West. As is well known that a need to bridge the best of East and West was historically an outcome of British colonial settlement in India following the decisive batle of Plassey, 1757. Plassey famously initiated a change of the entire socio- economic Skyline of the very old preexisting civilization in India, which eventually necessitated developing different orders of confluence schemes of Eastern and Western knowledge dynamics. But almost all the early schemes were infected by different orders of category mistake due to failure in properly working out the norms of comparing Eastern and Western knowledge dynamics.
